Stitch 'N Pitch Event at Dodger Stadium

Many a day and many a night, I've wiled away the hours at the baseball game. Knitting. Purling.
Sometimes a half double crochet here or an ssk there. Always, I get "that look" from the mostly male crowd, saying, "Oh, her hubby DRAGGED her to the game. And will I get stabbed by those needles if I reach for that foul ball?"
Of course, they generally stop glaring once I start yelling, "Strike? That was no strike? Are you blind ump?!!!"

Well my dream to sit at the game without that glare has come true!
TNNA ( the National Needle Arts Association) is sponsoring a Knitter's Baseball Game at Dodger Stadium this season.

More than 1000 knitters, crocheters, cross stitchers, needlepointers and more will descend on Dodger Stadium on August 10 with needles, hooks and thimbles in hand to enjoy to great American past times.

We at Unwind are so excited that we are making it easy, easy to attend this great city-wide event.

When one of our most creative customers, Krislyn Moore, got her hands on these beautiful yarns from Southwest Trading Company,
texture and color came together in this stunning shawl. The "Krislyn Shawl" is the ultimate, all seasons wrap. It's a 92 degree day today in sunny Southern California, and I was wearing this beauty over a simple black tank dress earlier today.

Krislyn looked in her stash and added about 65 yards of a slightly furry black yarn as a contrast to this colorway to make this voluminous version.
I'm a reasonably ample gal, and there is plenty of room to wrap and tie the shawl.
You can also use only the yarns in the kit to knit up a slightly smaller wrap.

The pattern is included with the kit, so all you need are US 15 needles, and you can have this lovely item for your own.
Six colorways are available, and with $45 worth of yarn at the closeout price of $27, you can't go wrong.

Our Favorite Cotton Yarn on Closeout

Lana Grossa is discontinuing one of our favorite yarns!

Multicot is a cotton/acrylic blend that knits at 4 - 4.5 sts in an inch on size US 7 - 8 needles. 88 yards in a ball. It's so soft, lightweight and machine washable and comes in amazingly vibrant colors. Last Spring, Stephanie knitted up a great sweater for herself in Multicot. And it's been used beautifully by many of our customers for baby blankets, kids' clothes and more. Did I mention that it is completely machine washable? :) Did I mention that I LOVE this yarn? Did I mention that they are crazy to discontinue it?

Since it's going bye-bye (and we are truly sad about losing this great cotton basic), we've got our stock of Multicot available for $4.69 - 5.62 per ball (regularly priced at $6.25 - 7.50).

If you want some, come by or call FAST. This stuff is going to fly out the door. Then you'll miss it too. But at least you'll have gotten a bargain and a great washable blanket, garment, tote or whatever out of the deal.
